Top private University Suspends 18 Students Indefinitely Over Alleged Misconduct
The management, however, did not disclose the specific offences committed by the students.
The management of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, has suspended 18 students indefinitely over alleged involvement in various acts of misconduct.
The institution, in a statement issued by its Academic Affairs Division on Monday, said the suspension takes immediate effect.
According to a statement obtained by SaharaReporters on Monday, the affected students were found culpable of offences bordering on misconduct.
Those suspended include OKE Oluwumi Precious (EU220501-3650), a 400-Level student of the Faculty of Law; OLADAPO Olamide Moyinoluwa (EU250611-5320), 100-Level, Nursing Science; AKINBO Favour Oluwaseun (EU250611-5253), 100-Level, Nursing Science; and ADEOLA Blessing Temitope (EU210111-2659), 500-Level, Nursing Science.
Others include LONGJOHN Albert David (EU240501-4516), 200-Level, Faculty of Law; ONMIYIN Matthew Sunday (EU250204-4905), 100-Level, International Relations; AKPOEBI Edwin Doufe (EU250302-4976), 100-Level, Civil Engineering; STEPHEN Ese Ayomipo (EU250207-4954), 100-Level, Mass Communication; and ALADE Aliat Iyabo Rachael (EU250207-4933), 100-Level, Mass Communication.
Also affected are EDUWEN Edidiong Uyoata (EU230304-3872), 300-Level, Electrical/Electronic Engineering; AKINWOLE Onyekachi Oyinloluwa (EU220208-3418), 400-Level, Performing and Film Arts; FATUNMISE Aderinsola Eri-Ife (EU240501-4504), 200-Level, Faculty of Law; and DAUDA Khalid Omogoriola (EU220501-3631), 400-Level, Faculty of Law.
The list further includes IWEKPUENU Jesse Onyekachi (EU250102-4829), OMOTUBORA Ayomikun Bright (EU250102-4841), EZE Uzoma (EU250102-4784), and OLATUNBOSUN Ademiposi David (EU250102-4837), all 100-Level students of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as JOHN-KOLAWOLE Bobajoko Kingstreasure (EU250307-5029), 100-Level, Mechanical Engineering.
The university warned that any student found guilty of misconduct would be made to face the Students’ Disciplinary and Examinations Misconduct Committee and may be suspended or expelled, depending on the gravity of the offence.
“All students are, hereby, warned that any one found culpable of violation of the matriculation Oath or any act(s) of misconduct will face the Students’ Disciplinary and Examinations Misconduct Committee (SD&EMC) and afterward be suspended or expelled from the University, depending on the degree of offence committed,” the statement added.
“To be forewarned is to be forearmed.”
The management, however, did not disclose the specific offences committed by the students.
