Top Northern District Head Dies In Car Accident

The district head of Kabo in Kano State, Alhaji Idris Adamu Dankabo, popularly known as Sarkin Gabas, has died in a car crash.

This is contained in a statement by the palace, which disclosed that traditional institutions, religious leaders, and residents have continued to pay tribute to the late ruler.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. A death has occurred to Sarkin Gabas, Idris Adamu Dankabo, who died as a result of a car accident yesterday (Thursday).”
The palace further announced that the funeral prayer will be held today (Saturday) at 10am at the Kofar Kudu of the Emir of Kano’s palace.
“May Allah forgive him and have mercy on his soul. Amin,” the statement added.
Until his death, Sarkin Gabas was regarded as one of the most respected figures in Kabo Emirate, admired for his efforts in promoting unity and community development.
