Going by O.K. Chindah reported APC membership registration date of 27 April 2026, two days after APC submitted its voters’ membership register, and their primary which held 21st April 2026.
Following the 21 days notice submission timeframe under the Electoral Act 2025 (As amended). Serious questions arise regarding the APC Rivers Guber candidate Rep O.K Chindah eligibility to participate in the party’s governorship primary, and consequently by the recent Supreme Court judgement cannot stand in the general election as party candidate.
Furthermore, O.K Chindah resignation as Minority Leader was reportedly not formally declared at the chambers of the Federal House of Representatives until after his nomination and confirmation as APC candidate. If established, these facts raise a clear legal question.
