Tinubu Is Fulfilling Abraham’s Prophecy’ – Gloria Akobundu Calls on Christians to Back President
Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu Phd, Secretary of Faith-Based Mobilisation (Christian) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council and a key member of the APC PCC Women Wing, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is fully living up to the Christian name “Abraham” prophetically conferred on him years ago.

Princess Akobundu affirmed that the President has consistently treated all Nigerians fairly and equitably, irrespective of their religious affiliations, thereby embodying the true meaning of the name given to him by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
_Recalling the President’s own testimony, Akobundu quoted Tinubu as saying: “The day my wife was ordained Pastor in the Redeemed Church, I was there. Pastor Adeboye gave me Abraham. I said, what is the meaning? He said, watch out, the father of a nation.”_
According to the APC chieftain, that prophetic declaration has found clear expression in the President’s leadership style. She noted that from the inception of his administration, President Tinubu has demonstrated a fatherly disposition towards every segment of the Nigerian population, refusing to allow religious differences to become a basis for discrimination or preferential treatment in the distribution of national resources, appointments, and development projects.
Akobundu stressed that the President’s commitment to fairness across religious lines has strengthened national cohesion and given practical meaning to the biblical image of Abraham as the father of many nations.
She observed that in a multi-religious country such as Nigeria, leadership that deliberately builds bridges rather than walls is both rare and necessary, and that Tinubu has risen to that calling.
Going further, the Faith-Based Mobilisation Secretary issued a passionate call to the entire Christian community, specifically urging the five constituent blocs of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to rally solidly behind President Tinubu. She named the five blocs as:
– the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN);
– the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN);
– the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN);
– the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC); and
– the TEKAN and ECWA Fellowship.
Princess Akobundu appealed to the leadership and membership of these five blocs to stand firmly with the President as he carries what she described as a Divine Mandate to complete the work of renewing Nigeria’s greatness.
_She maintained that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration is not merely a political programme but a divinely inspired assignment that requires the collective prayers, support, and active partnership of the Church._
In a special appeal directed at Christian women, Akobundu called on the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN), the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), and all women bodies within Christendom to rise in full support of the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
She emphasised that Christian women, as the backbone of the Church and the family, have a critical role to play in mobilising prayers, votes, and grassroots support for a leader who has shown fairness to all Nigerians regardless of religion.
_“President Tinubu is walking in the prophetic name of Abraham, the father of a nation,” she said. “It is therefore the responsibility of the Church, through all five blocs of CAN, as well as WOWICAN, YOWICAN, and every women body within Christendom, to rally round him so that the divine purpose for Nigeria under his leadership will be fully accomplished._
_The work of renewing our nation’s greatness must be finished, and it will only be finished when the people of God, especially our mothers and sisters in the faith, stand united in prayer and practical support behind the one God has raised for this season.”_
She further charged Christian leaders at every level, particularly women leaders across denominations, to continue interceding for the President, for peace, and for the successful implementation of policies that will lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty, secure the nation, and restore its pride of place among the comity of nations.
Akobundu concluded by reiterating her confidence that history will record President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a leader who lived up to the name Abraham a true father of the Nigerian nation who treated all citizens fairly regardless of religion and who, with the united support of the Church and Christian women, completed the divine assignment of renewing Nigeria’s greatness.
