“They’re Not Just Picking Those Children Without Sponsors”  –  Pastor Ibiyeomie Questions Nigeria’s Insecurity and Arrest Failures

On insecurity, he questioned the pattern of kidnappings in the country and suggested possible hidden influences behind the incidents.

“They’re not just picking those children without sponsors. All the politicians behind it if they can pick children and show their pictures, do you know that by the kind of work the DSS does, they will know where the people are? So how come there’s an invisible hand behind it? Because the DSS can pick up if you are calling from anywhere, they will know the spot where you are. So how come in Nigeria nobody is ever caught?”

He urged Nigerians not to remain silent in the face of injustice.

“Don’t see evil and close your mouth. Never be a part of evil.”

On elections, he reaffirmed his intention to vote but called for accountability from INEC and the judiciary, saying public trust in both institutions has been weakened.

“With anger I said I’m not going to vote, but I will vote because it is my legitimate right to vote. But I want to appeal to two sets of people not to disappoint us the judiciary and INEC. Because they have disappointed us.”

He also criticized inconsistencies in judicial decisions across the country, warning that it undermines confidence in the legal system.

“Before, the hope of a common man was to go to the judiciary. Now you will see law interpreted like one law in one state is different from another state, making the judiciary look like a child’s play.”
