The Plane Was Supposed To Crash Inside Our Compound But The Pilot Directed It To The Bush’ -Edema
Inkslinger16 hours agoAn eyewitness and Igbokoda resident, Igbekele Edema, has praised the pilot of the Nigerian Air Force ATR 42 aircraft for preventing far greater casualties by steering the plane away from a residential area in its final moments.
Speaking on Channels TV, Edema said, “That we are alive today is by the hand of God, and we are equally surprised as well. He described the horrifying scene that unfolded immediately after impact. He stated that eyewitnesses saw water shoot up into the air as the aircraft hit the ground and quickly became submerged.
He noted that within seconds of the crash, flames engulfed the plane, making any immediate rescue attempt impossible for those nearby.
The Ondo State Commissioner of Police has since confirmed that no survivors had been found as of the time of this report.
