The New IG Of Police Must Take It Easy and Watch Those Praising Him” — Primate Elijah Ayodele Warns

The Leader of IESC Worldwide, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has delivered what he described as a divine warning to the newly appointed acting Inspector-General of Police of the Nigeria Police Force, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

In a prophecy shared via Facebook, Ayodele cautioned the new police chief to exercise restraint and remain vigilant, particularly regarding those who openly celebrate and praise his appointment.

“The new Inspector-General of Police must take it easy and watch very well, especially those who are praising him,” the cleric warned.

Disu officially assumed duty on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, after being decorated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa. His appointment followed the resignation of his predecessor, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, who stepped down on February 24, 2026, citing family reasons.

Ayodele’s message comes at a critical time for the police force, as the new IGP takes over leadership amid ongoing security concerns across the country.

The cleric suggested that not all well-wishers may have genuine intentions, urging Disu to be discerning in his engagements and decisions.

According to Ayodele, leadership positions often attract both sincere supporters and hidden adversaries. He emphasized the need for the acting IGP to remain focused, prayerful, and cautious, noting that early decisions and alliances could shape the direction of his tenure.
