The Failure of Character Will Eventually Lead to the Failure of Destiny – Banji Alabi
Says Great Talent Without Good Character Is a Recipe for Failure

THE FAILURE OF CHARACTER WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO THE FAILURE OF DESTINY
Good morning distinguished audience.
Let me tell you a hard truth that many people don’t want to hear:
Your talent can lift you, but only your character can keep you up there.
Your gift may give you a platform, but your character will determine how long you stay on that platform.
My topic is: The Failure of Character Will Eventually Lead to the Failure of Destiny.
When I was growing up, I had two excellent friends. Brilliant! First-class materials. The kind of people you would have projected to be Chairmen of conglomerate companies. Boardroom gurus.
But they carried a disease – the spirit of fraud, stealing. Kleptomania. Today they pick one thing here, tomorrow they pocket another there. We thought it was a small matter.
Today, those first-class brains are paupers on the street. Their intelligence could not save them, because their character failed their destiny.
I have also met some of the most beautiful ladies on planet earth. Beauty that was meant for Presidents, for the Dangotes and Adenugas of this world. Created for honour.
But because they could not manage that beauty with character, they ended up as paupers. Sleeping from one small hotel to another.
AND LET ME ADD THIS:
I have seen men, great men, anointed men, intelligent men, men with a future so bright, but they cannot control their lust.
Anything in skirt, they want it. Their libido controls their decisions. They turn boardroom to bedroom. They exchange their destiny for 5 minutes of pleasure.
I have seen a promising career destroyed because of one uncontrollable night. I have seen a great marriage, a great ministry, a great business collapse on the altar of lust.
Esau sold his birthright for a plate of food, many men are selling their destiny for a skirt.
Ladies and gentlemen, hear me:
Beauty will attract, but character will sustain.
Intelligence will open the door, but character will keep you inside.
Anointing will bring you before kings, but character will determine if you will remain there.
3 Lessons to take home:
1. You cannot rise above your character. Your character is the ceiling of your destiny.
2. Trust is the real currency. Once you become a cheat, a thief, a fraudster or an untrustworthy person, men will withdraw trust from you. And once trust goes, destiny goes.
3. Discipline your appetite. If you cannot control your hands from stealing and your body from lust, you will eventually destroy what God built for you for years.
So I beg you today:
Watch your character!
Make up your mind that you will not be a cheat.
Make up your mind that you will not be a thief.
Make up your mind that you will not be untrustworthy.
Make up your mind that you will not be a slave to your libido.
For the day you surrender to those things is the day you begin to bury your destiny with your own hands.
May your character carry what your talent has brought to you.
Thank you.
