Hundeyin made the allegation while discussing Nigeria’s political situation, claiming that the decision was taken by the US rather than Nigerians.

“The decision had already been made that Bola Tinubu is going to be Nigeria’s President and the decision was taken by the U.S State Department. It wasn’t taken by any Nigerian… Nigeria has become a Puppet State.”

Tinubu was declared the winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), with 8,794,726 votes.

The US Department of State subsequently congratulated Tinubu and other political leaders following INEC’s declaration, while noting that the election had generated concerns among some Nigerians and political parties over aspects of the process.Government
