Suspected serving Corper Caught Trying To Use Fake credit alert To Buy an iPhone At Computer Village, Lagos

A man dressed in an NYSC uniform was reportedly caught at Computer Village, Lagos State, on Sunday, October 3, while allegedly trying to use a fake bank transfer to pay for an iPhone XR.

According to the seller, the man came to their office to purchase the iPhone XR and presented a fake transfer alert as proof of payment.

The seller further asked the man to demonstrate how he generated the fake alert so that the process could be exposed and other people could be more cautious of similar sc@ms.

According to circulating video, the seller went through the man’s transaction history and allegedly discovered several fake payment receipts involving different people.

The seller said the records showed that the alleged fake-alert transactions dated back to last year, indicating that the man had allegedly been involved in similar transactions before the incident at Computer Village.

While the case has called for sellers to be on the lookout for similar scams, official authorities have not released an update on the man’s legal or custody status.
