Stakeholders Demand Equity in Akoko North Political Appointments
Concerned stakeholders under the aegis of the APC Patriot League have called on political leaders to urgently address what they describe as an imbalance in the distribution of political appointments and elective positions within Akoko North Federal Constituency.
In a press release issued on Sunday and released to Newsmen, the group expressed concern that key positions at both federal and state levels are heavily concentrated in Akoko North West Constituency 1, leaving other areas particularly Akoko North West Constituency 2 and Akoko North East largely underrepresented.
The group warned that such disparities could undermine unity and weaken political cohesion if not promptly addressed, urging party leaders to adopt a more inclusive and equitable approach ahead of upcoming primary elections.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Call for Equity, Fairness, and Inclusive Representation in Akoko North Federal Constituency
We, concerned stakeholders and citizens of Akoko North Federal Constituency, wish to draw the urgent attention of political leaders, particularly within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the growing imbalance in the distribution of political appointments and elective positions across the constituency.
This appeal is directed to the leadership at all levels, including the office of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Chairman of the APC, the Ondo State Government, and the Ondo State APC leadership.
It is evident that a significant number of key political positions—ranging from ministerial appointments to federal and state roles are presently concentrated in Akoko North West Constituency 1. Meanwhile, other areas, particularly Constituency 2 and Akoko North East, remain largely underrepresented.
This pattern raises serious concerns about equity, justice, and inclusiveness in our political system.
We firmly believe that:
Every part of Akoko North deserves fair representation.
Competent, qualified, and capable individuals exist across all constituencies.
Sustainable political unity can only be achieved through balanced inclusion.
As political parties prepare for forthcoming primary elections, we strongly urge all stakeholders to take deliberate steps toward correcting this imbalance.
Specifically, we call for:
The zoning of the House of Representatives seat to either Akoko North West Constituency 2 or Akoko North East.
A more equitable distribution of appointments across all constituencies.
Transparent and sincere adherence to fairness in leadership decisions.
Neglecting certain areas breeds discontent and weakens the collective strength of our constituency.
Inclusiveness, on the other hand, fosters unity, trust, and long-term political stability.
We therefore appeal to party leaders to act with fairness, foresight, and a genuine commitment to justice. The people of Akoko North deserve a system that reflects equality and shared opportunity.
