Shoprite Is Back in Nigeria, But With a New Business Model

Shoprite is making a comeback with a different strategy, moving away from its traditional large shopping malls to smaller, standalone stores in residential neighbourhoods.

According to Adekunle Adebiyi, Executive Director of MBO Capital Management Ltd, the retailer is expected to adopt a model similar to Bokku and Jendol, bringing everyday shopping closer to customers.
