Seun Kuti has recounted how Fehintola, his late mother, once hid cannabis inside bread and asked him to deliver it to Fela Kuti, his late father, while he was detained.
Speaking in a recent interview, the musician disclosed that the late Afrobeat legend was detained at the Federal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon Close, Lagos.
Seun revealed that he was unaware at the time that he was carrying contraband to his father.
“We were going to visit my father at Panti, and my mum bought bread to give to him. She hid ‘Igbo’ inside the bread and asked me to hand it over when we got there,” he said.
