The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has broken his silence amid reports claiming he was asked to resign over alleged health issues.

The governor reacted after an online report alleged that he had been directed to step down from office on medical grounds, with the deputy governor expected to take over his position.

Lagos Government Denies Report
In a statement released on Monday, the governor’s media team described the claim as completely false and misleading.

The statement, signed by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, said there was no truth to the report suggesting Sanwo-Olu had been ordered to resign.

According to the statement, the governor remains healthy and continues to carry out his official responsibilities without any issue.
