RT Hon Olatunji Odeyemi Is The Best Candidate For PDP Chairmanship
Comrade Idowu Afuye
The media team of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has thrown its weight behind the former Acting Governor, Rt-Hon. Tunji Odeyemi, for the State Chairmanship, citing his wide acceptability across all senatorial districts and the visible impact of his administration across the state.
To drive structured engagement across Ekiti, a high-level media committee chaired by Mr. Tosin Ajayi, popularly known as Tosin Osoko, has been inaugurated, with Mr. Akiti Ifeoluwa Henry, also known as Granddaddy, serving as co-chair.
The committee held its inaugural meeting on Saturday at Ode Ekiti, signalling the beginning of a statewide mobilisation which stakeholders have described as “an affirmation, not a contest.”
According to the media team, Odeyemi’s record of service has earned him overwhelming support.
> “There’s no real contestants for party Chairman left. What we have are fragmented interests without direction. Even internal murmurs have fizzled out. Those who once postured as rivals are now adjusting their positions quietly.”
Political observers say Odeyemi’s humility, accessibility, and people-focused leadership have repositioned the PDP as a united front in Ekiti, effectively blunting what remains of both internal and external opposition.
With this development, the State Chairmanship appears to be taking clear shape, and for the PDP in Ekiti, the roadmap is already becoming defined.
