RRS Arrests Suspected Thief with N90,000 Worth of Stolen Cigarettes

The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has apprehended a suspected thief in possession of nine packs of stolen cigarettes valued at N90,000.

According to RRS, the suspect was caught in the act around 5:30 p.m. near Falomo Under Bridge, Lagos, when he attempted to escape into the vicinity of the RRS patrol team.

RRS said, “The suspect had allegedly stolen the cigarettes from a local supermarket. Each pack of the cigarette is worth N10,000, bringing the total value of the stolen goods to N90,000.”

The RRS reported that the suspect was intercepted by their patrol team while trying to flee the scene. The suspect has since been handed over to the Falomo Police Division for further investigation and prosecution.
