Rep Hopeful Olaleye Adedipe Breaks Silence After APC Disqualification, Awaits NWC Review
Says Tinubu Remains Best Choice for Nigeria
Akoko North Federal Constituency aspirant, Amb. Olaleye John Adedipe, has acknowledged the All Progressives Congress’ announcement that he was not cleared in the party’s screening exercise for the forthcoming National Assembly primaries.
Amb. Adedipe said he was surprised by the timing of the decision, which came as the primary activity was already underway, and that he was not afforded an opportunity to address the screening panel before the voting process started. Nevertheless, he affirmed his commitment to the APC and to the party’s internal processes.
“As a loyal party member and a committed servant of our people, I accept the party’s procedures and will await the outcome of the review by the National Working Committee,” Amb. Adedipe said. “I have confidence in the leadership of our party and in the capacity of our leaders to ensure a fair and transparent outcome.”
He appealed to stakeholders across Ondo State to remain calm and to avoid actions that could inflame the political atmosphere. Amb. Adedipe urged the party’s leadership to conduct a thorough and timely review of the screening process so that any outstanding issues are resolved from an informed and transparent position.
Amb. Adedipe also extended warm congratulations to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on securing the APC’s presidential ticket, describing the development as a unifying moment for the party and the nation. He commended Asiwaju Tinubu’s track record on national governance, policy formulation, and infrastructure development, and praised his stated commitments to job creation, agricultural revitalization, and improved public services. Amb. Adedipe pledged to mobilize grassroots support in Akoko North to ensure a strong showing for the party at the polls.
“I congratulate His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, on securing the party’s ticket,” Amb. Adedipe said. “I am convinced that his experience and vision position him to lead our nation toward stability and inclusive growth. I will work with party structures and our supporters to mobilize broad-based backing in my federal constituency for his eventual victory in 2027.”
