President  Tinubu’s aide  reportedly donates ₦50,000 each to r£scued Oriire children

Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, has donated ₦50,000 each to the rescued schoolchildren from the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The donation covers all 39 rescued students—25 immediately and 14 upon discharge—who were kidnapped on May 15, 2026, and held for 56 days. He announced the financial support during a visit to the families in Ibadan on July 14, 2026, intended to aid with reintegration.

The donation sparked public debate, with varying opinions regarding the adequacy of the amount in relation to the traumatic experience.
