Popular Ekiti Broadcaster Remisola Adewura Passes Away
The broadcasting community in Ekiti State has been thrown into mourning following the death of veteran radio presenter, Mrs. Remisola Adewura, popularly known as “Arole Opitan” or “Iya Adediwura.”
Mrs. Adewura was a respected broadcaster with Voice FM and was widely celebrated for her remarkable contribution to the preservation and promotion of Ekiti cultural heritage through radio broadcasting.
She gained prominence by seamlessly continuing the legacy of the late Madam Christiana Ademulegun, fondly known as “Yeye Opitan.” More than a year after the original host’s departure, Mrs. Adewura successfully sustained the popular cultural programmes, delivering them in the rich Ekiti dialect with passion, professionalism, and dedication.
