Rivers politics just took a dramatic turn. Reports indicate that the APC has blocked FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, from joining the party — a move that shocked many, considering his national influence.

So, why the refusal?

Party insiders hint at several reasons. First, Wike’s past public attacks on APC, where he reportedly labeled the party a “cancer,” are said to have left deep scars among loyal members. Second, there are fears that his entry could spark internal crises, factional battles, and power struggles capable of destabilizing the Rivers APC structure.
