The Babalawo claimed he helped Peller gain fame through “juju” after Peller visited his shrine.

The Babalawo had alleged that Peller once visited his shrine, broke down in tears and pleaded for his assistance before rising to prominence. He further claimed that Peller later abandoned him and failed to honour the supposed agreement between them.
However, Peller has strongly rejected the allegation, describing the Babalawo’s actions as content creation that has gone beyond the limit.
In a video addressing the controversy, the content creator warned that the man could face legal action over the claims. Peller also accused him of allegedly taking advantage of the attention generated by the controversy to defraud unsuspecting people.
“The man claiming he did juju for me to blow should keep running. Police will still catch you.”
According to Peller, the Babalawo initially presented the story as entertainment but allegedly changed his approach after discovering that many social media users were beginning to take the claims seriously.
Peller also pointed to the growth of the man’s TikTok account following the controversy, alleging that his page had gained thousands of new followers.
“The page had 4,000 followers on TikTok, now it has 65,000 followers. He has changed his page to look like a real juju man page.”
The content creator further accused the Babalawo of allegedly collecting money from people who believed his claims and sought his services.
“He’s now scamming people. He’s collecting people’s money. That man will rot in jail.”
Peller maintained that he would pursue the matter and would not be persuaded to withdraw any potential legal action, even if the Babalawo’s relatives intervened on his behalf.
“His family will beg for mercy and say, ‘Help us beg Peller to drop the case.’ I won’t listen.”
The entertainer also expressed disbelief that some social media users appeared to be accepting the Babalawo’s story as genuine, with some even discussing whether he had actually played a role in his rise to fame.
