Police arrest woman over alleged attack on daughter in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a woman accused of attacking her 15-year-old daughter at her residence on Tashoro Street, Opeki, along Ayobo Road in Lagos.

Police said the suspect allegedly inflicted injuries on the teenager before neighbours intervened to stop the incident.

The suspect is currently in custody, while the affected children have been rescued and handed over to the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development for care and protection.

Authorities added that investigations are ongoing and the suspect will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
