Oyo State fixes date for  LG election

Oyo State’s local government election has been rescheduled to December 29, 2026, to avoid clashing with INEC’s revised timetable.

The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission made the change to ensure a smooth electoral process and optimal security deployment. Campaigns will end on December 28, 2026, with a possible rerun on January 5, 2027
