Elders and leaders of the APC in Owo LGA played host to Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe, the lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in the ancient town of Owo on Friday, the 26th of December, 2025 as they converged on Pa Akinrinbola’s residence to receive him to the town.
Otunba Adelegbe’s meeting with the APC leaders in Owo LGA on this day is in commemoration of the second year remembrance of the late Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN and was also aimed at celebrating the end of the year party with the APC leaders so as to sustain the late Governor’s legacy.
In his speech, the lawmaker showered encomiums on the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Dr Olayide Adelami mni and the Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State, Mrs Omowumi Isaac as he described the duo as illustrious son and daughter of Owo Kingdom that the good people of Owo can be proud of at all times. He thanked them for their unflinching support for the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his administration.
He however called for unity among all the leaders of the party in Owo so that the party can remain strong at all times to enhance further electoral victories.
Owo leaders led by Pa Akinribola described Otunba Adelegbe as a trailblazer whose achievements as the lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency are unprecedented in nature and without mincing words, he assured the lawmaker of the unrelenting support of the Owo APC leaders to get him elected for another term in office.
His views was also corroborated by Barrister Alaba Ajipe, Chairman of Owo South West LCDA and Bar. Kola Olawoye SAN , former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State who also gave kudos to Otunba Adelegbe for being a responsible and responsive representative that deserves another term in office.
Some of the leaders present at the meeting include; Senator Remi Okunrinboye, Chief Omosanya, Pa Osedimbola, Chief Ogunleye, Dr. Olumola ( Templer), Mr. S. S. Aladegoroye, Hon. Adegbegi, former Executive Chairman of Owo LGA, Chief Balogun, APC Chairman in Owo LGA, Pa Fadeyi, Hon. Isiaka Elegberubon, Barrister Alaba Ajipe, Chairman of Owo West LCDA among others.
Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe also paid a visit to the residence of the late Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN where he and his colleague, Hon. Adegboyega Adefarati, the MHR representing Akoko SE/SW were received by the late Governor’s son Engr, Engr. Jide Akeredolu.
The event was rounded off with a carnival-like end of the year party at the Owo Township Stadium where party leaders, ward Chairmen, members of the NURTW, Owo LGA Councillors, various women and Youths groups in the party wearing different beautiful attire gathered in their numbers to celebrate and also receive cash gifts from Hon. Adelegbe in celebration of the end of the year.
The event had in attendance, the APC Chairman in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, Hon. Adegboyega Adefarati, the MHR representing Akoko SW/SE Federal Constituency, Engr. Jide Akeredolu and other eminent leaders of the Party in Owo LGA.
In his address, Engr. Ade Adetimehin commended Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe for sustaining the legacy of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN by deeming it fit to organize such an event in his honour. He also showered praises on the lawmaker for being a true representative of his constituents, judging from his remarkable achievements and quality representation that he has provided for his constituents so far.
He called for unity in the party as APC is a very strong political family that must be kept as one at all times.
Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe expressed his profound gratitude for the support given him by his constituents so far. He was also thankful to them for turning out in their large number in honour of his invitation to the end of the year party, while assuring them of better days ahead as he continues to enjoy their unflinching support.
