Ondo Governor sacks Education Secretaries, dissolves SUBEB,other boards

The Ondo State Government has announced the dissolution of the boards of some parastatals and commissions across the state following the expiration of their tenures.

The affected agencies include the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Local Government Service Commission, the Muslim Welfare Board, and the Christian Welfare Board.

The government also confirmed the expiration of the tenure of Education Secretaries in all 18 local government areas of the state.

This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

According to the statement, all chairmen, commissioners, board members, and Education Secretaries affected by the development have been directed to immediately hand over to the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.

The government said the decision takes effect immediately as part of routine administrative procedures in line with the expiration of tenures.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, in the statement, expressed appreciation to all outgoing office holders for their contributions to the development of the state during their period of service.

He commended their commitment and dedication, noting that their efforts had impacted governance and service delivery in their various capacities.

The government added that further administrative steps regarding the affected institutions would be communicated in due course.
