Omoyoloye Kunle Nelson (FNAEGE, COMEG), renowned industrialist and Managing Director of EMINAD Nigeria Limited, has congratulated Professor Igbekele Ajibefun on his recent appointment as the Commissioner for Education in Ondo State.
In a goodwill message made available to the media, Nelson described the appointment of Prof. Ajibefun, a respected academic and former Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, as a major step in the right direction for the state’s educational advancement.
“I heartily congratulate Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun on this well-deserved appointment. His track record as a seasoned administrator and scholar gives us confidence that Ondo State’s education sector is in capable hands,” Nelson stated.
He further commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what he called a “strategic and visionary” cabinet selection, especially in key sectors like education.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa has once again demonstrated wisdom and foresight in choosing individuals with proven competence. Prof. Ajibefun’s wealth of experience in academia and public service will no doubt contribute meaningfully to policy reforms and innovation in our schools,” he added.
Nelson, a Fellow of the Nigerian Association of Engineering Geologists and a registered professional with the Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG), emphasized the importance of strengthening the education system to build a more prosperous future for the youth of Ondo State.
He urged the new commissioner to prioritize quality teacher training, digital transformation in schools, and stronger partnerships with the private sector to enhance learning outcomes.
“With the right leadership and stakeholder support, Ondo State can become a model for educational excellence in Nigeria,” he concluded.
