It is the sole objective and duty of any Democratic elected Government anywhere in the world to ensure and facilitate the gains of democracy in their respective societies, the various achievements of my led administration in Okitipupa Local government is not just as a result of my genuine love for the local government but also his commitment towards ensuring that no local government is left behind in the development and growth of the State in general.
This was stated by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN at the Palace of Paramount King of Ikale, Oba G.B Faduyile, the Abodi of Ikaleland.
According to the Governor, Pa. Adekunle Ajasin did his best to advance the state, what he is doing is to continue his good Legacies in Ondo State.
The Governor explained that in the history of the state, it has never witnessed much industrial growth as it has under his administration as the state now boast of having five companies in the Ore industrial hub which has seen to the economic advancement of the state.
“I am a very honest man, I always try to be inn all I do, upon the inception of my government I promised this you the Electrification of this community, we have never shy away from the fact that we are yet to fulfill this promise. We are doing our best to fulfill this promise made to our people, We will continue to intensify our efforts to achieve this by engaging both the Federal Government and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to achieve this.
On the 29th of October 2020, an agreement will be signed with Omotosho Power Plant for the Electrification of Okitipupa.”
“We will also restore solar power to augment this
Governor Akeredolu added that Okitipupa has the most number of schools constructed under his administration.”
Also speaking at the event, the Executive Governor of Lagos State as Chairman Ondo APC Campaign Council, Babajide Sawolu stated that Governors under the aegis of the APC are fully behind Governor Akeredolu.
“The All Progressive Congress has accepted Akeredolu and we are solidly behind his re-election bid because as a result of what he had done in Ondo State, he deserves a second term”
Thanking the governor, the Paramount King of Ikale , Oba G.B Faduyile, the Abodi of Ikaleland expressed his delight at the immense developmental works being witnessed in his kingdom.
In his words,” We the kings of Ikaleland has collectively agreed that Akeredolu should continue for another four years in Ondo State”
Re-echoing the words of the Abodi of Ikaleland, the Rebuja of Osoro, Oba Gbadebo Bajowa also added that, “ this is our conclusion, come October 10 we are voting massively for Akeredolu”
The Monarch also added that the Ore industrial hub established by the Governor which has five companies under it has seen to the employment if many of its sons and daughters.
He also thanked Governor Akeredolu for renaming OSUSTECH after the late Governor of the state, Olusegun Agagu.
“Previous administration in the State neglected the University, but within three years of the Akeredolu led administration in Ondo State, the University has been made a center of attraction in the State.”
