Nigerian man dies a day after inspecting new house he planned to move into

A Nigerian man has reportedly died just a day after visiting the house he was preparing to move into, a plan that never came to pass.

Former Kaduna senator Shehu Sani, who shared the story, said the man inspected his new home on December 30 but passed away the following day, December 31. He was expected to move in on January 3.

Reflecting on the incident, Sani noted that the man did not live to see 2026, describing it as a reminder of life’s uncertainty.

“We are mortals. We only know of this moment and not the next. May Allah grant him Aljanna Firdausi. Amin,” he said.

The incident comes days after a woman died unexpectedly while giving a speech to her boss and colleagues at her workplace.

During a meeting on Monday, January 5, she was expressing her gratitude to her boss as her colleagues listened intently.

She conveyed thanks for the opportunities provided to her and mentioned how much she had learned through her role.

Her boss remarked on her initial shyness, prompting laughter from the woman and her coworkers.

Suddenly, she collapsed to one side, alarming those around her who quickly rushed to assist.
