Nigeria Spends N146bn on Motorcycle Imports in Q1 2025

Nigeria imported N146.11 billion worth of motorcycles in Q1 2025, up 24.4% from N117.4 billion in Q1 2024, according to the NBS.

Despite local bans and domestic plants, most imports were CKD motorcycles from India. Total imports of vehicles, motorcycles, and related goods hit N7.8 trillion, making up 21.67% of total trade.
