“It is shameful that at 61, Nigeria is still copying and relying on other neighbouring countries for quality education, security and healthcare services”

Anyanwu, a onetime Senate Committee Chairman on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions expressed bitterness that at 61, the country’s security achetechture is at the lowest ebb, adding that all geopolitical zones in Nigeria are threatened without government rising to occasion.

He wondered why security of lives and property is declining on daily basis, when billions are budgeted to the sector yearly.

“Approvals of hundreds of billions are made by the Nigerian Senate and channelled to security sector on yearly basis. The question is where is the huge sum going into, who is behind its diversion and what purpose is the funds serving, order than the security of lives and property?”

Anyanwu therefore slammed the APC administration of compromising with external machineries to create security lapses in order to siphon the tax payers’ money under its guise, and advised relevant authorities to rescue the country now before it collapses.

He further expressed optimism that Nigeria will be rescued and made to stand at the global map as a great nation if the people can massively vote out the ruling All Progressive Congress in the 2023 general election.
