“My flight was cancelled…” – Woman recounts painful betrayal after finding husband in bed with childhood friend

A Nigerian woman described how she unexpectedly returned home due to a cancelled travel and discovered her husband in bed with a childhood friend.

In a TikTok video posted by @, the woman claimed that when her childhood friend travelled to Abuja and begged to stay with them, she was lawfully married and lived with her husband.

“She begged me to accommodate her in my apartment. Even my ex-husband was like, ‘No, don’t accept her.’ I never knew he saw something before then. I was like, ‘Let me just accept her. You don’t know who might help you tomorrow.’”

The nurse stated that she typically leaves for work while her companion stays at home with her spouse. She claims that the two grew close over time and finally had an affair.

She remembered that she had intended to see her father in Imo State later. However, due to the weather, her flight was cancelled after she got to the airport. Unaware of what she was going to learn, she then reserved a Bolt journey home.

“My husband should have been the one to pick me up, but his number wasn’t going through. That was how I caught them red-handed together on the bed. They didn’t even close the door,” she added.

Online responses to her announcement have been mixed, with many people expressing sympathy for her because of the claimed betrayal by two persons she trusted.

The woman described the episode as a traumatic betrayal by both her husband and close friend, saying it ultimately wrecked her marriage and left her as a single mother.
