MTN Nigeria has confirmed a network outage affecting some of its customers in Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, Delta states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The telecommunications company disclosed this in a statement posted on its X account on Thursday.
MTN said customers in the affected areas might be unable to access some of its services due to the network challenges.

“Our engineers are working to restore services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” the company said.
In a subsequent update, MTN apologised to affected customers and reiterated that its engineers were working to resolve the problem.
“Dear Customer, We are aware some of our customers are having challenges using our services. Our engineers are working to restore services as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience,” it added.
The company did not disclose the cause of the outage or provide a specific timeline for the restoration of services.
