Makinde names zonal coordinators for 2027 campaign push

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has appointed six zonal coordinators to drive his 2027 presidential campaign and advance his ‘Reset Nigeria’ agenda across the country.

Makinde, the presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), made this known in a statement issued in Abuja by Richard Ihediwa, Director of Strategic Communications for the Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation.

According to the statement, the newly appointed coordinators are High Chief Dr. Eddy Olafeso (South-West), Mr Habu Muazu (North-East), and Senator Ibrahim Tsauri (North-West).

Others include Dr. Bode Ojomo for the North-Central, Mr Akadiaha Ebitu for the South-South, and Sir Obi Okechukwu for the South-East.

The campaign organisation said the appointees were selected based on their political experience and are expected to work closely with the National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC) to strengthen grassroots mobilisation nationwide.

It noted that their core responsibility would be to rally support for a robust, issue-driven campaign ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

“The zonal coordinators bring their wealth of experience, capacity and political connections in working with the National Campaign Management Committee and the national leadership of the Party to mobilise Nigerians and drive a vigorous, issue-based and people-oriented campaign,” the statement read.

Makinde also expressed appreciation for the growing support from Nigerians, assuring that more appointments into the campaign structure would be announced in due course.

He urged party supporters and citizens to remain committed to the vision of rebuilding the country.

“The presidential candidate urges all Nigerians to remain focused and steadfast as we work hard to reset and bring a new lease of life to our nation,” the statement added.
