Local Source Identifies Alleged Logistics Routes of Bandits Operating in Yagba West–Kwara Axis

A local source has alleged that armed bandits operating across Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and parts of Kwara State are sourcing logistics and supplies from nearby communities within Kwara.

According to the source, the communities identified include Idofin, Ahun, Babanla, and Oro Ago, all located in Kwara State.

The source noted that these areas are in close proximity to Okunran community in Yagba West, making movement between the locations relatively easy.

The claim, which is yet to be officially confirmed by security agencies, has heightened concerns among residents of border communities, who say the porous boundary between Kogi and Kwara continues to pose serious security challenges.

Community members are calling for intensified intelligence gathering, joint security operations between Kogi and Kwara States, and increased patrols along border routes to disrupt criminal supply lines and prevent further attacks.
