JUST IN: 2027: “I Can Tell You That; Formation Of Atiku, Obi, Makinde Is The End Of APC – Primate Ayodele
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said a potential political alliance between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Anambra Governor Peter Obi, and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde could significantly weaken the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

In a video posted on his official Facebook page, the cleric assessed emerging opposition alignments and warned that the APC should not take its continued dominance for granted.
Primate Ayodele described the reported coming together of the three prominent politicians as a development that could reshape the country’s political equation.
“I can tell you that formation of Atiku, Obi, Makinde is the end of APC,” he declared.
According to him, the alliance, if properly managed, would bring together different political structures, regional influence and voter demographics under one umbrella.
He explained that Atiku comes with years of presidential experience and a nationwide political network, Obi commands strong support among youths and voters in parts of southern Nigeria, while Makinde offers the advantage of incumbency and an established structure in the South-West.
The INRI leader said the combined strength of the trio should not be underestimated, stressing that it could give the opposition the capacity to compete with the APC in nearly every geopolitical zone.
He argued that the biggest threat to the ruling party in 2027 will not come from a single party, but from a coordinated opposition that is able to set aside personal ambitions.
“Political dynamics can change before election day,” Ayodele noted. “If opposition leaders resolve their differences and work together, the APC will face one of its toughest contests yet.”
The cleric maintained that the success of any opposition arrangement will depend largely on unity, strategy and the ability to present a credible national platform.
He said Nigerians are looking for alternatives, but will only rally behind a coalition that demonstrates discipline, a clear agenda, and the capacity to address issues like the economy, security and governance.
Ayodele added that political leaders must move beyond personal interests if they genuinely want to challenge the APC.
“The ability of opposition politicians to put aside individual interests and build a united front will decide what happens in 2027,” he said.
The prophet also pointed out that the political environment remains unpredictable, with more defections, alliances and realignments expected in the coming months.
He urged both the ruling party and opposition figures to closely watch the evolving blocs, saying the final configuration of political forces will determine how competitive the presidential race becomes.
Ayodele has in recent months made several pronouncements on the 2027 election, consistently advising opposition parties to overcome internal divisions if they hope to unseat the APC.
