I’ve Never Seen That Kind Of Flood” — Pastor David Ibiyeomie Recounts Port Harcourt Flooding

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries International, has recounted the severity of flooding in parts of Rivers State, saying he had never witnessed such a situation since he was born.

Ibiyeomie made the remarks during a recent sermon shared on YouTube while speaking about the place of praise and faith during difficult circumstances. He said praising God does not mean denying the existence of challenges, but rather expressing confidence in God’s ability to intervene.

The pastor acknowledged that Nigeria was facing difficulties, citing flooding in Port Harcourt as an example of a challenge that could not be ignored.

According to him, the situation in Rivers State had become severe, with some residents reportedly forced to use canoes to move around flooded areas. “There is flood in Port Harcourt. Only God will save it. I’ve never seen that kind of flood in Rivers State,” Ibiyeomie said.

He also recounted reports of residents finding snakes inside their flooded homes, describing the situation as one he had never experienced since he was born in Port Harcourt.

The cleric, however, urged Christians not to abandon their faith or stop praising God because of the difficult circumstances. He explained that believers could acknowledge the reality of their challenges while continuing to trust God for a way out.
