INEC Opens Online Recruitment For 2027 Election Ad-Hoc Staff, Applications Close November 18
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the activation of its online recruitment portal for Nigerians interested in serving as ad-hoc staff during the 2027 General Election.Shop African Art

According to a public notice issued by the Commission, the INECPRES portal was activated at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, and will close at 12 midnight on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
The recruitment exercise covers various categories of election personnel, including Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), Registration Area Centre (RAC) Managers and Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH) personnel.
INEC stated that eligible applicants can access the online application through its official website at www.inecnigeria.org.
The web version of the recruitment platform is accessible through the INECPRES portal at:pres.inecnigeria.org
According to the eligibility guidelines, applicants for SPO positions are expected to include federal and state public/civil servants and other eligible personnel on Grade Level 10–14, as well as qualified INEC staff who are not engaged in other duties
For PO and APO positions, eligible categories include serving NYSC corps members, qualified students of federal and state tertiary institutions, and eligible permanent staff of federal and state MDAs who meet the specified educational and grade-level requirements.
INEC also listed specific eligibility requirements for RAC Managers and RATECH personnel, including suitable officials of institutions hosting RACs and qualified ICT personnel.
The Commission urged interested applicants to carefully read the eligibility requirements before applying and to provide accurate information during registration.
INEC also advised applicants to be cautious of fraudulent recruitment platforms and to rely on information published through its official channels.
