IG pays condolence visit to NAF chief over Ondo crash
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, on Friday paid a condolence visit to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal S.K. Aneke, over the NAF 931 aircraft crash that claimed 25 lives.

Disu conveyed the condolences of the Nigeria Police Force to the leadership, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of those who died in the incident.
During the visit on October 9, 2026, the IGP expressed the solidarity of the police with the Air Force over the tragedy and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved families and colleagues of the deceased.
According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Police, Ani Iniedu, the police chief reaffirmed the Force’s support for the Nigerian Air Force during the difficult period.
“The Nigeria Police Force remains in solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force at this difficult time and honours the service and sacrifice of those who lost their lives,” the statement said.
The visit followed the fatal crash involving the NAF 931 aircraft, which claimed the lives of 25 people.
Disu’s visit was aimed at expressing sympathy and solidarity with the Air Force leadership and the families affected by the incident.
