“If I am not impeached by then…”Gov. Seyi Makinde finally speaks on the alleged impeachment plot against him

The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has reacted to the alleged conspiracy to impeach him as the governor of Oyo State.

In what is his first public comment on the impeachment saga, governor Seyi Makinde acknowledged the speculation while declaring that his government is undeterred–focused on delivering good governance to the people of Oyo State.

While speaking at the inauguration of key committees saddled with the responsibility of driving the Oyo State long-term tourism development and preparations for the International Tourism Summit 2026, the governor stated that his administration still has “about one year and one month… if I am not impeached by then.”

This administration will come to an end in about one year and one month. So what will happen next? Well that’s as if I’m not impeached that”, the governor stated in between laughter, jokingly taunting those behind his alleged impeachment.

The governor stated that despite the numerous challenges and conspiracy against his government, his administration has accomplished so much for the state– highlighting his administration’s achievements and agenda for tourism development in Oyo State.
