I Was Six When I Got Circumcised And It’s The Best Thing That Has Happened To Me — Actress Victoria Inyama

Actress Victoria Inyama has said undergoing female circ¥mcision as a child remains one of the best things that ever happened to her.

Speaking during an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, she disclosed that she grew up in the village under her grandmother’s care, where the procedure was carried out.

She said: “Yes I was because I grew up in the village with my grandmother. That is the best thing they did for me. I swear to God because if I say I am not going to have s+x, I will not and that is the power I have as a woman.”

She added that the practice, in her view, helped her maintain self-control and avoid what she described as promiscuous behaviour.

She also recalled that she was about five or six years old when it happened and said she passed out due to the pain during the process.

When asked if she would allow her daughter to undergo the same procedure, she said “I would not make that decision myself”, adding that it would be left to the child’s father.
