Reacting to the claims, Umahi dismissed the accusations, stating:

“I owe nobody. I have served as deputy governor and governor, and no one has ever accused me of harassment. What I see on social media only makes me stronger.

If it were Senator Natasha Akpoti who claimed I was chasing her, my response would be bolder, not just anyone accusing this handsome man of pursuing her for 12 years. This is all social media talk.I think we should shift our attention to the war in Iran and allow me to rest.”
