I got my wife arrested yesterday, and this is why – Nigerian man revealed 

According to him, “We employed a 16-year-old girl as our house help. For weeks, I noticed she had become withdrawn and was always avoiding eye contact so yesterday, my wife suddenly started shouting at her in front of neighbors.”

“Who is responsible for this pregnancy?” she kept demanding. The girl was crying uncontrollably. I stepped in when I noticed it and asked calmly, “Who got you pregnant?” She hesitated, then replied, “Prosper.”

My heart skipped a beat because Prosper is my wife’s younger brother. I immediately remembered how he had suddenly packed his bags and travelled to the village a few weeks ago.

I turned to my wife and asked her “You knew about this? And she lowered her head and said, “Yes.”

I couldn’t believe it because she knew her brother had impregnated a 16-year-old girl living under our roof. She knew he had run away. Yet instead of protecting the girl or reporting the crime, she chose to publicly disgrace and shame her.

At that moment, I realized the girl wasn’t the one who should be standing trial in the court of public opinion.The adults who failed her should.

I called the police and an hour later, they arrived and took my wife in for questioning. As she was being led away, neighbors looked at me in shock. Some said I had betrayed my wife. Maybe they were right for me I believe the real betrayal happened the day we chose family loyalty over justice.
