‘I Don’t Want My Hand Cut Off’, Man Abducted With Wife, Daughter Begs For Help As Right Hand Swells

The abducted man said his right hand had become numb after the bandits tied him tightly with a rope, leaving him afraid that the affected limb could be cut off if he did not receive assistance.

Ahmed Zakka, a resident of Millennium City in Kaduna State who was abducted alongside his wife and their baby, has appealed to Nigerians, friends and relatives for help after his right hand became swollen and numb following the tight binding of his hands with a rope by his captors.

In a heartbreaking video obtained by SaharaReporters, Zakka was seen in visible pain and distress as he raised his affected hand to show the extent of the swelling while pleading for help.

The abducted man said his right hand had become numb after the bandits tied him tightly with a rope, leaving him afraid that the affected limb could be cut off if he did not receive assistance.

Speaking in the video, Zakka appealed to his relatives, friends and Nigerians to help him, expressing fear over the condition of his hand while apparently still being held captive in the bush.

“Please, I’m seeking help from my relatives and friends because of how tightly they tied my hand. See how my hand has become. Please help me, I don’t want my hand to be cut off,” he said.

Zakka was seen raising the affected hand in an apparent effort to demonstrate the extent of the swelling and draw attention to his condition. His appeal conveyed the distress he was experiencing while away from medical care.

The circumstances described in the video have raised concerns about the possible consequences of prolonged, tight rope binding and the lack of access to medical treatment while in captivity.

SaharaReporters previously reported that terrorists had kidnapped a man, his wife and their little daughter in Millennium City, Kaduna State, and were demanding a ransom of N300 million for their release.

In a video previously seen by SaharaReporters, the abducted man, Zakka was seen appealing to members of the public for help.

The disturbing footage showed the family being held captive by the armed assailants, with one of the terrorists pointing an AK-47 rifle at Zakka’s head while threatening to kill him.

Zakka was seen sitting on what appeared to be a fallen tree, with his daughter on his lap. He was holding one hand in a position that seemed to restrict his movement, and his right hand was swollen.

His wife, seated beside him, also appeared to be pleading for help as the family appealed for assistance to secure their release.
