A shocking and heartbreaking incident has rocked Coral Springs in Florida, USA, following the death of its Vice Mayor, Nancy Bowen, who was allegedly killed by her husband.
According to reports, the 38-year-old official was shot three times on the night of March 31, 2026, by her 40-year-old husband, Stephen Bowen. Authorities say that after the shooting, he wrapped her body in blankets and garbage bags, left it in one of the bedrooms, and went to sleep.
The following morning, the suspect reportedly visited his uncle’s residence, where he confessed to the crime, stating he “couldn’t take it anymore.” His uncle immediately alerted emergency services by calling 911.
Law enforcement officials say Stephen fled to a nearby apartment shortly after the report was made but was later apprehended and taken into custody.
