‘I Am Innocent’ — Poco Lee Speaks As UK Sex Case Continues
Nigerian dancer and hypeman, Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has spoken for the first time since he was accused of sexual offences in the United Kingdom, insisting that he is innocent and that his “mind is pure.”

Poco Lee disclosed this during a video call with social media personality VeryDarkMan late Sunday, where he reflected on the support he received from friends and associates while dealing with the allegations.
The dancer is facing five sexual offence charges in the UK, comprising one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
Snaresbrook Crown Court in London confirmed the case is subject to a reporting restriction protecting the complainant’s identity.
The charges followed Poco Lee’s visit to the UK for the Davido and Friends concert held at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14, 2026. He has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations remain before the court.
His comments came amid reports that he had been released from a UK prison after spending weeks in custody.
However, the UK Crown Prosecution Service has not confirmed his reported release or current custody status, although it confirmed that the criminal case remains active and that Odinaka is still scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on Tuesday, September 15, for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing.
Reacting to the situation, Poco Lee said he remained concerned about the case’s effect on his associates and maintained that he was not guilty of the allegations.
“I was just being myself, my only worry out there was my people. I told Jago, cause he couldn’t do anything, business-wise, social media-wise, and I am not a child to want to stress anyone.
“And even if I speak with them, I apologise that they are being stressed, and they don’t like it. And if I were guilty, I would know that I am paying for my sins, but I am innocent and so my mind is pure.
“Nobody would want to attach themselves to something like that. But for Burna, Jago and other associates to stand for me, that is huge.
“I don’t need to define myself, I am just living my life, I don’t have a specific direction, I am just being me. I am a jolly good fellow, I have woken up to gist about me that isn’t true.”
He also urged men to be wary in their interactions with women, saying they should use “18 hours a day to fear women.”
Poco Lee’s remarks come as the case continues to attract attention in Nigeria, with the CPS stressing that the matter has not been dropped or resolved.
The prosecution service said, “This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026.”
The September 15 hearing is a pre-trial proceeding and does not constitute the trial itself.
The allegations against Poco Lee remain to be determined by the court.
