How Nigeria Has Voted In 8 Governorship Polls Under Tinubu
APC has won five of the eight governorship elections held since President Tinubu took office, according to a compiled results scorecard.
In Bayelsa, PDP’s Duoye Diri defeated APC’s Sylva 175,196 to 110,108. Imo saw APC’s Uzodinma win big with 540,008 votes against PDP’s 71,503, while in Kogi, APC’s Ododo beat SDP’s Ajaka 446,237 to 259,052.
Edo went to APC’s Okpebolo with 291,667 votes over PDP’s Ighodalo, who polled 247,274. Ondo’s Ayedatiwa (APC) defeated PDP’s Ajayi 366,781 to 117,845, and in Anambra, APGA’s Soludo trounced APC’s Ukachukwu 422,664 to 99,445.
Ekiti went comfortably to APC’s Oyebanji with 319,224 votes against PDP’s 40,543. Most recently, Osun’s Adeleke (Accord) narrowly held off APC’s Oyebamiji, 511,067 to 444,815.
Across the eight states, a combined 4,875,767 votes were cast, with APC accounting for 2,618,585 votes — representing 53.7% of the total.
