Horror As Man Invades Nursery School, Hacks Four Toddlers To Death
The victims, all between the ages of two and three, were reportedly killed inside the school premises.
Panic and grief engulfed residents of Kampala on Thursday after a man stormed a nursery school and hacked down four toddlers in what police described as a “brutal” attack.
The Ugandan Police Force confirmed that the incident occurred at Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program school, located in the city’s Makindye Division.
The victims, all between the ages of two and three, were reportedly killed inside the school premises.
In a statement shared on X, the Uganda Police Force said a male suspect had been arrested in connection with the killings.
“We confirm a tragic incident at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program school, in Makindye Division Kampala City where a male suspect brutally stabbed and killed four juveniles,” the police said.

“The suspect has been apprehended, and the motive behind the killings is still under investigation.”
Police spokesperson Rachael Kawala disclosed that the attacker, identified as a 34-year-old man, murdered one girl and three boys during the assault.
The police noted that preliminary reports suggest the suspect gained access to the school by posing as a parent.

Local accounts noted that the man initially engaged the school administrator before launching the attack, according to Al Jazeera.
Eyewitnesses said the assailant later locked the school gate and began stabbing the children in succession, throwing the facility into chaos.
The attack was eventually halted by a security guard attached to a nearby church, who intervened before more casualties could be recorded.
Residents of the upscale neighbourhood where the school is located described scenes of horror as news of the killings spread.
Videos circulating online showed distraught parents and angry youths gathering at the scene, with some attempting to lynch the suspect before security operatives intervened.
A local journalist, Erich Mboowa, reported that the suspect was quickly taken into custody to prevent mob justice.
The Uganda Police Force has confirmed that the number of the learners who were brutally stabbed and killed by a yet to be identified man is four.

Further footage reportedly aired by NTV Uganda showed emotional scenes of parents wailing as security personnel fired warning shots into the air to disperse the agitated crowd.

The police have yet to establish a clear motive for the attack, promising that more details will be released as investigations progress.
