Hon. MURPHY Distributes Over 300 Bags of Rice, Cash to Muslims and Party Stakeholders for Eid
….This Has Never Happened Before’, Residents Hail Murphy’s Ileya Gesture….
In a remarkable gesture of generosity and inclusiveness, Hon. Moruf Tosin Ibrahim, popularly known as HON MURPHY, has distributed over 300 bags of rice and substantial cash gifts to members of the Muslim community and party stakeholders in his constituency to mark this year’s “Eid al-Adha (Ileya) celebration”.
The distribution exercise, which took place ahead of the Ileya festivities, was aimed at supporting constituents during the joyous occasion and promoting communal harmony. Beneficiaries included Muslim faithfuls, widows, youths, and key stakeholders of the political party across various wards in Akoko North Federal Constituency.
While speaking during the distribution, Alhaji Azeez Isaka from Ogbagi Ward 6 commended Hon. Murphy for his uncommon kindness and dedication to the people.
> “For years, people who had been contesting in our area had never been kind like this before. A man will lose out in a primary election of a party, and some weeks later, he will organise and celebrate a Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha (Ileya) with the people, giving them rice and cash. This had never happened before in the history of our constituency,” Alhaji Azeez Isaka said.
Alhaji Isaka described Hon. Murphy’s action is a demonstration of genuine love for the people beyond political seasons, noting that such benevolence has endeared the philanthropist to both Muslims and the entire community.
Hon. Murphy, through his representative Daudu Ayoola pka Ayowealth , while addressing the beneficiaries, expressed his commitment to the welfare of his people irrespective of political outcomes or religious differences. He emphasized that leadership is about service and bringing succour to the people, especially during important religious festivals.
The gesture has been widely applauded by religious leaders, community elders, and party faithfuls, who described it as a shining example of true statesmanship and compassion.
