High Chief Dele Omosehin Congratulates Governor Aiyedatiwa as Supreme Court Dismisses PDP Appeal
One of the major aspirants for the House of Representatives contest in Irele/Okitipupa federal constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), High Chief Dele Omosehin, has extended his warmest congratulations to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, following the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the appeal lodged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Chief Agboola Ajayi. The appeal challenged Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory in the November 16, 2024, Ondo State Governorship Election.
The Supreme Court’s decision came on Wednesday September 17, 2025 after the appellant filed a Notice of Discontinuance, effectively ending the legal challenge to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s election. This latest development solidifies the governor’s position, allowing him to continue his governance without further legal impediments.
High Chief Omosehin remarked that the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa is a testament to the governor’s widespread support and confidence in his leadership. The congratulatory message reads in part, “I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency on the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the PDP’s appeal. This development is a vindication of the people’s mandate and a validation of your victory at the polls.”
The Lisa of Osooro Kingdom further posited that the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the PDP’s appeal has brought a sense of relief and stability to the state’s political landscape, stressing that with the legal challenges finally behind him, Governor Aiyedatiwa can now continue delivering on his campaign promises and driving growth and development in Ondo State.
High Chief Omosehin reiterated his confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, adding that his “Our Ease” agenda has continued to gain momentum across the length and breadth of the state.
