‘Her dad’s family wants to sell her house’ — Nimmy Ferrari’s mum cries out over burial dispute

The mother of late Nollywood actress Nimmy Ferrari has alleged a dispute within her paternal family over the house she built before her death.

The actress recently passed away from complications arising from a fibroid surgery.

In a video circulating on social media, the grieving woman claimed that members of Nimmy’s father’s family opposed the actress being buried in the house she built.

She also accused Nimmy’s father of failing to financially support the actress’ education and medical treatment, claiming she personally sponsored her daughter through university.

According to her, a disagreement over school fees once led to a physical altercation between her and Nimmy’s father, during which she sustained an injury that required stitches on her head.

She said she was contacted because she had given permission for Nimmy to be buried in the house. Noting that her daughter had no children, she said she believed burying her there would help preserve her legacy.

The woman denied having any personal interest in taking possession of the property, stating that she already owned her own house.

She alleged that members of Nimmy’s paternal family were planning to sell the property and appealed to Nigerians to intervene.

“Nigerians, save me from Nimota’s father’s family. They said Nimota should not be buried in her house. I had five children for their family, and it’s just Nimota left. Same Nimota, they have killed her,” she said.

“When she was at the hospital, I did not see anyone to drop a dime. Baba Nimota did not drop a dime; he did not send her to school. I sent her to school till she finished university. Her father did not pay her school fees. The stitches on my head, Baba Nimota did it, and it’s because of a school fees disagreement.

“They called me this evening because I’m the one who gave them permission to bury Nimota in her house. She does not have children, so her legacy will not be lost. That’s why I instructed them to bury her there.

“I have my own house; there is nothing I want to use Nimota’s house for. Help me; they want to sell the house off. He did not spend a dime on her. They want to sell her house.”
